From a Student with a Laptop to Building Digital Businesses

I'm Malik Ubaid, a software developer, entrepreneur, digital marketer, and educator who believes that the best way to learn is to build, experiment, fail, research, and keep moving forward.

My journey in technology started in 2013, when I was still studying for my BSCS. I was only in my 3rd semester when I got my first client. The interesting part? I didn't know everything I needed to complete the project.

But I had a client, a deadline, and a responsibility.

So I researched. I learned. I experimented. And I delivered.

That experience completely changed the way I looked at technology.

Development Became My Habit. Marketing Became My Love.

In 2013, I didn't start with a fancy office or a big team.

I started by visiting shops and businesses personally, introducing myself and offering websites and software like a salesman.

I would walk into shops, talk to business owners, understand their problems, and explain how technology could help their businesses.

That experience taught me something that coding alone never could:

Technology is valuable only when it solves a real business problem.

Over the years, I worked on countless websites, software systems, and digital projects. I also worked in different organizations as a web developer and eventually got a government job.

It was a valuable experience, but I eventually realized that a traditional job wasn't where I wanted to spend my future.

I wanted to build, create, experiment, work with clients, and build businesses.

So I chose entrepreneurship.

From Freelancer to Entrepreneur

Freelancing became an important part of my journey.

Through platforms like Fiverr, I had the opportunity to work with clients from different backgrounds and understand businesses from different parts of the world.

For me, freelancing isn't just about completing projects.

I genuinely enjoy solving problems for clients and turning ideas into working digital products.

Alongside freelancing, I started Asian IT House, a mid-sized software and IT company focused on web development, software solutions, digital marketing, and technology services.

I've also had the opportunity to train and mentor students, helping them understand practical technology and digital skills beyond what they learn in classrooms.

Building the Next Generation

Today, I'm also leading the IT Department at National College Rawalpindi, where I work closely with students and technology.

Teaching has given me another perspective.

I don't just want to build software myself.

I want to help the next generation learn how to build it too.

Building Platforms for Entrepreneurs & Students

My journey has also led me to create platforms that can help other people build their own digital future.

NGSP.pk is one of my projects — a marketplace concept designed to give individuals and entrepreneurs an opportunity to create and grow their online businesses without the traditional barriers of expensive setup costs and complicated technology.

I've also started E-Pakistan.com, a platform focused on students and digital learning, where students can create and share content, build their digital presence, learn digital marketing, record videos, and develop practical skills.

These projects are part of a bigger vision:

Make technology accessible to people who want to learn, build, and grow.

What I Do Today

Today, my work sits at the intersection of technology, marketing, education, and entrepreneurship.

I help businesses and entrepreneurs with:

  • Web Development
  • Custom Software Development
  • Digital Marketing
  • SEO
  • Social Media Marketing
  • Business Automation
  • E-commerce Solutions
  • Digital Strategy

But beyond services, I enjoy building products, starting businesses, teaching people, and turning ideas into reality.

My Philosophy

I don't believe you need to know everything before you start.

I didn't.

When I got my first client in 2013, I didn't know everything required to complete the project. I learned because I had a reason to learn.

That's still how I approach technology today.

  1. Find a problem.
  2. Take responsibility.
  3. Research.
  4. Build.
  5. Learn.
  6. Improve.
  7. Repeat.

Development is my habit.

Marketing is my love.

And building businesses and helping people grow with technology is what keeps me moving forward.
